Sarasota’s art season is in full swing – and here at The Glenridge on Palmer Ranch, members can enjoy a world-class cultural experience right on campus.
Designed both for and by art lovers, the Glenridge Performing Arts Center (GPAC) is a jewel of a theatre that gets rave reviews in a town that knows and appreciates culture. - Heritage Meets Innovation. From the captivating artistry of Grammy-nominated guitarist Diego Figueiredo who seamlessly blends Brazilian bossa nova, samba and classic jazz … to the spirited rhythms of New Orleans Mardi Gras brought to life by a brass ensemble, jazz lovers are truly in for a treat.
- Shakespearean Charm. Asolo Rep returns to the GPAC stage with Shakespeare 45: Rom-Com, a fast-paced, 45-minute celebration of Shakespeare’s most charming love stories. Filled with witty banter, mistaken identities, physical comedy, and a host of unforgettable lovers and fools, the show highlights the humor and playful chaos that define Shakespeare’s comedies – where romance is only part of the fun.
- Beloved Holiday Hits. Award-winning Pine View Jazz Band will be ringing in the season with big band classics featuring songs by Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, and Mel Tormé. And for those who want to add a little boogie to their holidays, we’re welcoming Jingle Bell Jive for an electric night of rock ‘n’ roll Christmas songs mixed with a retro twist on reimagined favorites.
But wait … there’s more! Our stunning Theatre District gives you even more ways to enjoy your evening before and after the show – including an elegant Art Gallery with a rotating collection of works by Glenridge members and visiting artists … as well as globally inspired casual dining at the Kiltie Grille. It’s an evening “on the town,” all under one roof!
