The Glenridge Member Directory is a Member-initiated project brought to fruition by the GAC Communications Committee, Glenridge staff and the Information Technology team. This unique data base has been especially created to be useful and easy to use for Glenridge Members. Special thanks to Mr. Sid Wasch, Communications Committee Chairman, and Dr. Phil Nelson, photographer extraordinaire, for their invaluable contributions.
One (and only one) printed version of the directory will be published. It will remain in the Glenridge Library for Member reference and will be updated periodically.
The on-line directory offers the opportunity to search for Members with common interests, home towns, colleges, etc. Instructions for conducting such a search are outlined below. Access to the on-line directory is password-protected. Each Member will be notified separately of their user name and password.
Please note that the original form requesting biographical information from Members was designed prior to the development of the actual Directory Profile. Consequently, some data in the profile may not accurately differentiate between spouses (hobbies, colleges, etc.). Please submit any corrections to Member Services in writing so your profile can be revised.
When you click on “Members Only” from the Glenridge web site, the first page you will see is this Directory Welcome page, with its step-by-step instructions. From here, click on the link to see the on-line Member Directory. This will take you to the log-in page, where you enter your user name and password.
Once logged in, you will see the Browse Profiles section, which displays mini-profiles (photo, name, address) of all Members in alphabetical order. Just click on a photo or the words “Click to View Profile” to see the complete profile.
To search for specific information contained in Members’ profiles, click on Search Profiles. On the Search Profiles page, type the information you are looking for in the Search box, then click on the arrow.
For example, you can search for Members from your home town by typing the name of the town in the Search box, then clicking the Search arrow. You can search for Members who play golf by typing in “golf.” Feel free to find other Members with common interests by typing in (one at a time) your hobby, the name of your college, your favorite volunteer activity, etc.
Once you click the search arrow, names of Members will appear whose Profile information includes the word(s) you typed. Just click on a name to see the complete profile.
